Folders, teams and who can see what
Last reviewed Lees dit in het Nederlands
In an organisation, folders and files have viewers, editors and managers. Access is inherited down the folder tree and can be granted to teams.
Access levels
Each file and folder in an organisation gives people one of three levels of access:
| Level | Can |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Open and download |
| Editor | Also upload, rename, move and keep files, and restore from Trash |
| Manager | Also share by link and delete |
- Owners and admins have manager access to everything in the organisation.
- The person who created a file or folder manages it.
- Access to a folder applies to everything inside it.
- In an organisation, new items at the top level are shared with the whole organisation as editors.
Studio only shows the actions you are allowed to use, so a missing menu item usually means you have a lower level of access.
Teams
Owners and admins create teams in Settings → Teams. Grant a folder to a team and every member of the team gets the same access.
Shared
Shared lists files and folders added by other people in your organisation, with the owner on every row.
Rename and move
From the More menu: Rename (the Endorr file ID does not change) and Move to… to choose another folder. Both need edit access.
