Trash, restoring and deleting permanently
Last reviewed Lees dit in het Nederlands
Deleted files and folders stay in Trash for 28 days so you can restore them. Delete permanently or empty Trash to remove them for good straight away.
Delete a file or folder
Open the item's More menu and choose Delete, then confirm. You need manage access.
- The item leaves your workspace and every tool that used it, and goes to Trash.
- A deleted folder goes to Trash as one entry, with everything that was in it.
- Its share links stop working while it is in Trash.
How long Trash keeps items
Items stay in Trash for 28 days. Each row shows when it was deleted and how many days are left; Purging soon means it is about to be deleted for good. After that it cannot be restored.
Restore
Open Trash and select Restore on the item.
- A restored file goes back to its folder, or to the top of the workspace if that folder no longer exists.
- Restoring brings back its share links that have not expired.
- Restoring a kept file needs enough free storage.
- You need edit access to restore.
Delete permanently
In Trash, select Delete permanently on an item and confirm. It is deleted right away and cannot be restored. Its share links stop working for good.
Empty Trash
Select Empty trash and confirm. Everything in Trash, including everything in deleted folders, is deleted right away and cannot be restored.
Files deleted on a PC with Endorr Cloud for Windows also go to this Trash. See Deleted files on Windows.
